What we own and develop
Rhosus Energy is not a consultancy at arm's length. Our group owns a solar park, our team developed batteries that have been running since 2024, and we know the day-to-day reality of the grid operator, maintenance and power sales.
Dalfsen Solar Park
A ground-mounted solar park in Dalfsen (Overijssel), in operation since July 2023. The park is owned by our group. We handle contact with the grid operator, manage the maintenance and monitoring contractors, and sell the power.

Battery next to Dalfsen Solar Park
In 2024 the park used only 9% of its grid connection's capacity. On that connection we are now developing our first battery of our own. It stores solar power that the grid cannot take on sunny afternoons, and delivers it when there is demand. The permit application and supplier selection are being prepared.

Before we founded Rhosus Energy, our team also developed projects for others. These three have been in operation since 2024.

More experience in figures
Our team has also worked on batteries owned by others. We do not name them, but we do share the figures.

Investing in the unused capacity of existing grid connections
Grid capacity is the scarce factor in the Dutch energy market. We develop batteries on grid connections that already exist: at wind and solar parks that leave most of their capacity unused. That shortens the route to construction and makes smaller projects viable.
Co-invest per project
Invest alongside us in batteries of 1 to 5 MW at existing wind and solar parks.
Ready-to-build projects
Acquire projects that we develop to ready-to-build stage: land, grid connection, permit and design in place.
Management after completion
We manage construction, maintenance and trading, and report on performance.

Knowledge of the Dutch electricity market
Markets
Day-ahead, intraday, imbalance, aFRR and FCR: how a battery earns there, and what is left of that in practice.
Grid and contracts
Transport capacity, congestion management and agreements with grid operators and TenneT.
Subsidies
SDE++ and what happens when it ends: for owners and for the value of a site.
Tested against practice
Our models have been compared with measured data from batteries in operation.
